DIGITopen 4th Online Transnational Project Meeting

On July 7, 2025, partners from across Europe gathered online for the fourth Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the DIGITopen, an Erasmus+ project dedicated to supporting the digital transformation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and Third Sector organizations through open-source solutions.

The meeting, hosted virtually, brought together all project partners to review the progress of key work packages and prepare for the upcoming implementation phases.

Morning Session Highlights

The day kicked off with a focused discussion on last activities, where FOAAL led the presentation of the Joint Piloting Report. Partners evaluated the results and shared feedback on the recently piloted activities. The session also included an insightful demonstration of the updated MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) platform, which now incorporates improvements and feedback gathered during the pilot phase.

Afternoon Session

After a lunch break, Base3 highlighted the proposed methodology for developing the Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) and opened the floor for a collaborative discussion on how to implement the work package effectively. Special attention was given to drafting Guidelines for Digital Transition through Open-Source Technologies, ensuring the project remains aligned with its core values of inclusivity and accessibility.

Following this, the focus shifted to Dissemination, where CCIB reported on the progress made regarding the project’s webpage and social media calendar. Also National Multiplier Events will be organized in each partners countries at the end of the project /Jan-Feb 2026. Partners brainstormed ways to amplify the project’s visibility and long-term impact, sharing ideas for engagement strategies and digital outreach.

The final session addressed general managment aspects of the project, led by coordinator CCIFM, which covered project reporting and the planning of future activities. The team reviewed administrative tasks and outlined the roadmap for the next months of implementation.

Looking Ahead

The online meeting not only served as a strategic checkpoint but also reinforced the consortium’s shared commitment to equipping MSMEs and Third Sector entities with accessible digital tools. As the DIGITopen project continues to evolve, partners remain focused on delivering impactful, open-source-based solutions tailored to the real needs of European communities.
